Alice Piérot
In 1988, after graduating with high honors in classical violin from the National Conservatory of Music in Lyon and garnering awards at two international chamber music competitions, Alice Piérot began specializing in baroque music. For several years, she performed as violin soloist for Les Musiciens du Louvre, directed by Marc Minkowski.

She is a frequently-invited guest soloist or principal violinist. Since 2004, she has performed as a soloist with Concert Spirituel, directed by Hervé Niquet. Alice Piérot teaches baroque violin at the conservatory of Aix en Provence.

However, chamber music still keeps Ms. Piérot busy. In particular, the ensemble Les Veilleurs de Nuit (The Night Watchmen) she founded in 2001 won a Diapason d’Or award in 2003 for their release of Heinrich Biber’s Rosary Sonatas on Alpha Records. She also plays with the Ad Fontes string quartet of Zurich, the Nièces de Rameau, the string trio AnPaPie, and in a duet with Aline Zylberajch.

She plays on a regular basis with the Amarillis ensemble, and has been featured on many of its recordings: Ferveur et Extase (Éditions Ambronay, 2011), Rameau - Cantatas and Harpsichord pieces in concert (Naïve, 2014), Antoine Dauvergne / Gérard Pesson : Les Troqueurs and La Double Coquette (NoMadMusic, 2015), Pergolesi - Stabat Mater (Sony classical, 2016), Effervescence Concertante ( Evidence classics, 2017) and Handel - Melodies in Mind (Evidence classics, 2018).
